Xin SCRAPPER Level 1

GRIT 7 Wound at 4 or below
WIT 4 Wound at 2 or below
MURK 5 Wound at 3 or below

Your stats are your flesh. There is no separate HP. Every Wound is -1 to every roll until treated.

Species

Xin. On the hivemind.

Ocular Read Passive: read intent (hostile, deceptive, neutral) through eye contact at close range, no roll required. Once per encounter, predict an opponent's next action and act before them regardless of initiative order.

Character Type

SCRAPPER. Preferred tree: Combat & Weapons. Secondary access: Survival & Perception. Skills in the preferred tree need one fewer narrative trigger to unlock.

Hard Yards On a Toll result for a physical attack, choose: deal full damage, or avoid the counter. Not both.

Close Discipline A SCRAPPER cannot use ranged weapons that resolve on WIT: sling, thrown object, fungun. Their discipline is the close fight.

Four Arms Keeps two weapons in hand at once, both ready, no draw needed. While dual-wielding two melee weapons, a successful Attack adds the off-hand weapon's damage as +1. Does not raise the three-item carry limit.

Purse and Kit

¢60 unspent. Carry limit: 2 weapons, 3 items. Buy your own kit at a vendor. The oracle may vary a starting purse by species.

The Vendor

Settlements have vendors. Selling loot returns roughly half its listed trade value, unless a relevant skill or an established contact shifts the terms. What a vendor stocks, and whether they will deal with you at all, is the oracle's call.
