Postcard from The Dark Peak · #2
All Good Things Come to Moss
A stranger at the Mason's Arms offered too much money for too simple a job: collect a sealed envelope from Ughill Hall, carry it down the Bradfield Dale road to the Loxley track, hand it off at the junction. Don't open it. Don't ask questions. You took the work anyway.
The Dale road has no lights after murkfall. The walls keep the murk low and thick, and the organic network out there still runs unfiltered, unmanaged, and with opinions of its own. If something marks you in those fields, you won't know until it's already happened.
Field notes by Pip Rippon. Keep moving.

What’s waiting out there
The onetoe problem
Van Hallam wrote three pages on the Onetoe once and crossed out most of them. What survived: it's horse-shaped in the way something built from the same parts as a horse but assembled with different priorities is horse-shaped. It doesn't chase. It follows, it watches, and eventually it decides. The last line, underlined, just says classified.
This scenario doesn't explain the Onetoe any further than that. Neither did Van.
What you need
Two six-sided dice, something to write with, and one evening. No GM, no group, no preparation. It’s a solo tabletop RPG scenario: one location in Hellsborough and The Dark Peak, a handful of creatures from the Bestiary, and a very bad night.
Never played a solo RPG before? The first Postcard Adventure, Something in the Hole, has a complete example game you can follow once and have it.
When you want more
Every Postcard Adventure uses the same three stats, Grit, Wit and Murk. Foked is what they grow into: the full solo ruleset, where your stats are your flesh and your character carries every scar into the next job. The core rules are free.
