Physically identical to humans with the exception of their highly decorated bodies, a legacy of their insect origins. Once the fairest rulers and protectors of The Dark Peak, they colonised all areas and had an advanced civilisation before their number was decimated by a vicious pandemic, reducing their numbers hugely and limiting them to their current stronghold of Hathersage.
Comfortable with travel across the region, they are frequently seen in Hellsborough, but now, far from being the rulers of all that is seen, they have slipped into a retrograde place becoming the spies and couriers, mercenary individuals who care not for the well-being of The Dark Peak, but for their own kind, and their own selves.
Like all denizens, they are hatched from eggs, but unlike The Xin and The Nascenti, they are cared for by their biological parents (like humans) rather than raised in communal creches. As denizens, they are able to survive in the murk without psycmasks, and can tap into the hive mind and communicate telepathically with other denizen races.
