Made
A manufactured lifeform, and the shortest possible entry I could write would just say "ask a woad," except woad don't discuss their offcuts and I've learned not to push the question with something that carries the same nanomaterial the Woad carry.
A made is what's left over. Every batch the woad build -- weapon, tool, whatever regurgitated wood-and-paper thing Hordron's gift lets them assemble -- throws off scraps that catch a spark of the same animating process by accident rather than design, and those scraps get up and go before anyone's finished with the paperwork. They're small, roughly hand-sized, built from whatever off-cut material the batch happened to be, and they do not hold one shape for long.
I've seen a made shaped like a folded leaf skitter under a doorstep and come out the other side looking more like a broken clothes-peg. Whatever holds them together isn't attached to the shape. It's attached to the motion.
They're not aggressive, as far as I can tell, and not especially strong -- a made this small couldn't do much to you even if it wanted to. The unease is entirely in watching something built from scrap paper move like it has somewhere urgent to be.
Field note: leave a made alone. It isn't hunting you, and it isn't finished becoming whatever it's going to be.
